Adapted from two letters sent out to some contacts with wealthy contacts--
Yes! Yes, Yes! we would love it dearly if you would tell your friends about us.
You might want to give them some financial details as well...
They would need to keep in mind this is an expensive LONG term investment.
Short term, there would be no immediate benefits, but long term, we hope to give back to them, and to the community
Along the way, teaching folks that it is possible to have an edible food forest in an urban setting, and that they dont have to exodus the city to find nature and/or to create a little mini regenerative oasis.
How we do this is a little bit limited while we are caring for Mom full time, but we would like to be allowed to put into the groundwork to reach it's full potential.
1) From having a mini homeshed or getting a prebuilt container put into the backyard to rent a space in the backyard out to help cover taxes.... ($50/$100 night)
2)To eventually (after Mom has passed) cleaning out the garage (if we could be allowed to get an aircrete machine to build a mini off-site storage site for the items in the garage, then we could also clean out the garage and renovate the garage into a livable studio space then we could also rent space out as well. ( Another $100 to $150/night)
That would be two little spaces we could rent out for someone to stay airB&B style or apprenticeship/permaculture assistant/student style to learn more about food forests and soil and zero waste and bodymind listening..
This would not only cover taxes...
but also bring in some extra income but maintenance as well.
3) As in understand it, if we declare ourselves a nonprofit that wishes to teach anybody and everybody about urban food forests oasis, with the home being the main home base address, then we would be able to be able to exempt from taxes altogether, which would then allow us to buy back the home completely much sooner...
This next part wouldn't be doable while mother aka grandma was worried too much all that time about everything...but maybe after mother is further along in her condition enough to not be able to be worried about everything .....and if we could then handle more guests,
(and if we could get the plumbing and electrical and living room renovated to be able to handle more people visiting),
((and if we could get a couple more mircroscopes)),
We could then host afterschool gatherings to to teach kids or day time gatherings to folks about soil science while they are visiting,
If so, then maybe we could be a nonprofit that hosted an after school teaching program to kids after school and/oreveryday folks to come over and learn about the plants.
4) That is, for when we can get our living room space cleared out as we are currently using it as a different storage space for a different story...but once we can afford to get the attic vacummed out , and a different type of insulation used, we can use the attic to store what we currently have in the living room, then we could turn the living room into an empty space ..
If the living room gets emptied and renovated then even if we don't get the microscopes, we can also use that space to maybe host a yoga bodymind private classes in the living room to teach about bodymind listening...
We have offered it in the yard some, but avgerage folks don't like to be visible to others while doing bodymind listening sessions....
(Although we can get rid of a couple of items, the stuff we are current keeping in the living room tells a story and it is also part of our dream to share that story with everyone
...but for until can build the space with which to tell that story, we are happy just keeping it in storage until then..but we do wish to keep the items bc they are part of a bigger project we wish to do someday.)
Back to our home,
While we are caring for grandma full time, a lot of this renovation would be difficult to do...
But we can start laying down the groundwork for it to be done from home after mother has passed away and doing what we can whenever we can in the meantime.
And our home is in such an ideal space in the city to teach as many folks as we can with all the folks who live nearby in a apartments who walk by and learn about what we have in the garden..
...
As time passes, just like how the natives americans put all part of an animal to use, the long term goal is use all parts of the home and our lives from the trash to the treasured .. to teach folks everything we know about holistic living, food forest gardening, to water conservation,to bodymind listening , to well... everything about the journey we are on...
Showing that this different way of living can be done even inside the city and for it to eventually be way of helping others to learn a more holistic way of thinking and living...
We hope to video our entire journey and also teach others through our videos maybe?
We have started several YouTube channel experiments to try to get comfortable with the youtube world.
The main one we wanted to use to teach is called www.hopingforagarden.com
It's a long-term lifetime endeavor...sharing our lives and struggles in hopes that helps others.
*Whoever invests in this needs to know that this is a long-term investment but that whatever money comes from it will go towards them getting back their investment plus whatever ROI they ask for.
*They should know, we think the ex is asking about $300k? for his half of the home plus there is the remaining mortgage ($150k)....
That means whoever buys my ex out will be owning over half the home.
If possible, my son & I would like to be allowed to keep a little of our remaining share of the home.
Short term,
while we are caring for my elderly mother full time, we would not be able to do much to bring in an income to be able to keep staying there.
But long term,
the hope is somehow all our ideas to renovate, and rent, and teach, and with every aspect of our lives - to be allowed to give back everything the investor put in, plus whatever else we would owe to assure our family's home stays safe
and that we be allowed to share what we learn and experience, as we connect to our land and the idea of regenerative holistic biophilic living.
That way, whoever buys out my ex's half can be guaranteed to get their full money back plus whatever ROI or interest they would like
and will also get to help to contribute back to society using us some of our ideas we hope...
If you and they would like to contact us off this site, send us your email via one of our FB pages (www.facebook.com/our-facebook-links) or to our contact link once we have that up and running..
Oh, we do so hope one of your friends might be interested!!!
(Let us know if there is anything we can do to help you out..)
Big big hug of gratitude from our family over to you!!
Krin, with son Eagle and Grandma Aita

Review of goals:
Right now, for this immediate year our concentration is finding a way to buy out the ex at his increased price with a long-term investor
Once the ex is bought out, saying the investor is compatible with us doing this and willing to give us some time while we are caring for Mom full time 24/7..
then, once this done, all of a sudden hopefully so many of the possibilities below will get to exist.
1)From renting out a minihomespace in backyard with same idea as your renting the tent, only for $50/night
2)To getting an aircrete machine to build a storage shed with which to put the items from the garage which we wish to keep to renovating the garage, and renting that out for $100/night
3) to getting the living room repaired so we can host bodymind sessions (tie between yoga and transcendental meditation) in our living room again ($60 -$150/session)
4) to getting the roof/ plumbing/electrical renovated (possible cost 20k? If we can be allowed to do some of it ourselves with a contractor overseeing it for permit/code reasons) ....
so we can have folks over in general comfortably and not be worried about liability as much..
5) and perhaps, once that is done,
then if we can get grandma to be able to handle it, which shouldn't be too hard once the plumbing, electrical, and roof are renovated...
-- then host meals from the garden and /or teaching sessions for $50 to $100 donation per person per session depending on the situation...
5). Lots more ideas as well, but begin with these?
We just need to find someone who can think LONG-TERM in their investments..
someone willing to buy out my ex of his share of the home for the amount he appears to be asking; $300k plus paying off remaining mortgage ($150k) plus another $20k for repairs/renovation and aircrete machine...
(We had had someone who was willing to buy my ex out for $250k but that was the highest that investor could go, sadly.. :/. )
(We need to find someone willing to invest nearly half a million in such a LONG-TERM investmemt --- 1)who will allow us to keep a tiny bit of our own share of the home AND 2)who will allow us to keep living there and 3) slowly get all these ideas into action while caring for mom.. )
There is a guarantee that will one day we will be getting the investor their investment back plus the ROI of their choice back someday bc our long-term goal is to buy back our home from the investor ..
(and if for any reason, we die before we can accomplish all this, then that investor just bought a city home for 2/3 the price it is worth. That's an incredible deal.)
