Q: have you looked into idea of microgreen:
, Yes, we have looked into that idea and tried a few attempts just to grow microgreens for ourselves.. though currently we don't seem to be very good at growing microgreens even for ourselves.
But,
Something we are decent at growing halfway well enough to share is the Chaya and Longevity spinach,
so we are hoping if we could teach folks about those two plants and maybe we could create a small mini niche market for that.
It requires educating folks so it's a long term goal... but those are two of the three plants we grow most successfully. And it's the only products that kiddo has expressed any delight in the idea of selling later on.
But again , this is long term goal. Right now, for this immediate year our concentration is finding a way to buy out the ex with a long-term investor preferably over a short term one....
Once the ex is bought out, saying the investor is compatible with us doing this and willing to give us some time while we are caring for Mom full time 24/7..
then, once this done, all of a sudden hopefully so many of the possibilities below will get to exist.
1)From renting out a minihomespace in backyard with same idea as your renting the tent, only for $50/night
2)To getting an aircrete machine to build a strorage shed with whixh to put the items from the garage which we wish to keep to renovating the garage,
and renting that out for $100/night
3) to getting the living room repaired so we can host bodymind sessions (tie between yoga and transcendental meditation) in our living room again ($60 -$150/session)
4) to getting the roof/ plumbing/electrical repaired (possible cost 20k? If we can be allowed to do some of it ourselves with a contractor overseeing it for permit/code reasons) ....
so we can have folks over in general comfortably and not be worried about liability as much..
5) and perhaps, once that is done, then if we can get grandma to be able to handle it, which shouldn't be too hard once the plumbing, electrical, and roof are renovated...
-- then host meals from the garden and /or teaching sessions for $50 to $100 donation per person depending on the situation...
5)well lots more ideas as well, but perhaps just beginning with those?
The hardest part is finding someone willing to buy out my ex of his share of the home for the amount he appears to be asking; $300k plus paying off remaining mortgage ($150k) plus another $20k for repairs/renovation and aircrete machine...
(We had had someone who was willing to buy him out for $250k but that was the highest that investor could go, sadly.. :/. )
(Findings someone willing to invest nearly half a million in such a LONG-TERM investmemt --- who will allow us to keep a tiny bit of our own share of the home AND who will allow us to keep living there and slowly get all these ideas into action while caring for mom.. )
Even though there is a guarantee that will one day we will be getting the investor their investment back plus the ROI of their choice back someday bc our long-term goal is to buy back our home from the investor ..
(and even though,if for any reason, we die before we can accomplish all this, then that investor just bought a $750/$800k city home for 2/3 the price )
Sadly.. getting someone who can actually afford it to seethe benefits of a LONG TERM investmemt is the hard part.
But we still have some hope....bc it really is quite the deal for some investor...
